April: CELEBRATING 40 YEARS: 1985 - 2025

MY FOUNDATION WAS BUILT BY MY DAD

I got my start by helping my dad on job sites. My brother and I were eager to be part of it, so we began with the basics—painting, hauling materials, and cleaning up. Over time, he trusted us with more responsibility, and I learned carpentry. Later, I became a licensed electrician and began wiring homes, where I learned the fundamentals: how to solve problems and do things the right way—principles that apply to both electrical work and home building.

By the time I was confident enough to manage full builds on my own—alongside my dad—I had developed a solid understanding of the work: coordinating trades and meeting deadlines. Working directly with homeowners taught me how to communicate clearly, manage expectations, and earn lasting trust—because in the end, it’s their home, not just another project. Over the years, I’ve come to respect the entire process and take pride in delivering quality work. As I continue to build, I’m constantly reminded that my dad built the foundation I stand on—both in the craft and in the values he passed down.

Few companies have been able to establish a forty-year milestone, and we are proud to associate with one that has, Randy Shaffer Homes. Weber Concrete Construction and Randy Shaffer Homes are both second generation companies that have worked together for almost four decades. Bob Shaffer and Eldie Weber worked together in the late 1980’s, moving their companies forward with their sons. As the years have passed Randy Shaffer has developed his father’s company into the premier custom home building firm it is today. Jeff and Randy Weber have been on the job with Randy Shaffer through these years installing basements for his homes and enjoying his friendship along the way.
