A NEW BREED OF HOMEOWNERS

Homeowners today are a whole different crowd compared to what we used to see. Back then, it was mostly young families buying into custom home subdivisions—but now, those kinds of neighborhoods are way less common. That’s probably because land prices have gone through the roof. These days, we’re seeing more empty nesters and older homeowners building or remodeling. Sure, there are still some younger clients in the mix, but the majority tend to be more established and ready to invest in exactly what they want.

And speaking of what they want—today’s clients are all about the extras. Fancy, top-of-the-line appliances are a must, and glass is huge right now—whether it's big windows, sleek railings, or walls that open up to the backyard. Design-wise, the look is more transitional: a stylish mix between traditional warmth and clean, contemporary lines. People want that balance—something modern but still comfortable. It’s less about just building a house, and more about creating a space that fits how they live now.
